United Kingdom
InstaVolt Deploys UK's First Motorway Battery-Backed Chargers
InstaVolt has installed the UK’s first on-site battery storage system directly powering ultra-rapid chargers at Welcome Break Corley Services on the M6. The battery supports eight chargers, including new 160kW units, reducing grid dependency and ensuring reliable peak-time performance.
Zaptec & British Gas Pilot UK's First Communal EV Tariff
Zaptec and British Gas have launched the UK’s first communal EV charging tariff pilot, offering discounted time-of-use rates for shared charging points at multi-residential properties. The one-year trial could deliver up to 50% savings for overnight charging, addressing a key barrier to wider EV adoption.
UK Sector Sees Rapid Expansion and New Entrants
The UK EV charging sector saw major developments, with Roam securing £65m in debt financing to deploy up to 40,000 AC destination chargers. RAW Charging and Aviva Investors opened a new ultra-rapid hub in Dagenham, while Zest installed 142 new charging spaces at the University of Warwick. BMW and Kaluza also formed a partnership to enable automated smart charging.
Zapmap Reports 777 New Public Chargepoints in October
Zapmap reported that the UK added 777 new public charging points in October, nearly half of which were rapid or ultra-rapid, bringing the national total to 86,798. LEVI funding continues to accelerate rollout, with new projects in West Yorkshire and Bolton, while Wales led annual growth at over 27%.
North Lincolnshire Council to Install 470 New EV Chargers
North Lincolnshire Council and Believ will install 470 on-street EV chargers, including 16 ultra-rapid units, to improve access for residents without off-street parking. The rollout is funded by Believ and the UK Government’s LEVI fund.

ABB to Supply 50 Smart DC Fast Chargers for Clever in Denmark
Denmark is expanding its EV charging network with 50 new smart DC fast chargers supplied by ABB for operator Clever. The ABB Terra 51 chargers, installed at strategic locations, support the country's goal of fossil fuel independence by 2050 through smart grid integration.
Aneo Mobility Named Europe's Most Reliable Charging Operator
Aneo Mobility has been named Europe’s most reliable EV charging operator, winning the 2025 eMabler Award for 98–99% successful charging sessions. Using its Aneo Pulse system, the company sets a benchmark for reliability across Norway and the Nordics.
Voltalis and Virta Team Up for Smart Charging Pilots

Germany’s Masterplan Ladeinfrastruktur 2030 sets out a roadmap to expand EV charging nationwide, boost investment, and streamline rollout. It supports high-power networks, V2G, and introduces monitoring tools to meet rising EV demand.

Fastned Raises €39m in Largest 2025 Bond Issue
Fastned has raised over €39 million in its third retail bond issue of 2025, marking its most significant single tranche and bringing its total 2025 funding to about €110 million. The funding will support the rapid expansion of its fast-charging network across Europe.
LEAP24 Offers Low-Cost Weekend Charging in the Netherlands
LEAP24 offers fast DC charging in the Netherlands at €0.24 per kWh on weekends, close to home charging rates, to encourage off-peak use. Its PartnerPas subscription also provides roaming access to major networks across Europe.

Atlante Backs Motus-e Manifesto to Grow Italy’s EV Network
Atlante supports Motus-e’s “Charging Manifesto,” calling for lower energy costs and simpler grid connections to accelerate Italy's EV transition. Italy has 70,000+ chargers but faces high prices and only 5.2% EV adoption.

InstaVolt Expands Spanish Footprint with Fourth Site

EU Funds Europe’s First Megawatt Truck Charging Network
E.ON, Voltix and GreenWay secured €70.3m EU funding to deploy ~330 megawatt chargers across 55 key freight routes in nine European countries by 2028. Each site will offer 24/7 public access, enabling electric trucks to match diesel performance.
Milence Expands Electric Freight Network with New Pricing Model
Milence announced its 30 charging hubs across eight countries, linking major logistics routes. From 1 January 2026, a market-based, country-specific pricing model will ensure fair, transparent rates aligned with local energy costs, supporting fleet electrification.
Solutions30 and Spirii Expand EV Charging Partnership Across Europe
