United Kingdom
- InstaVolt Airport EV Charging Expansion: InstaVolt now offers ultra-rapid EV charging near major UK airports, including 41 sites within an hour of Heathrow, 27 near Manchester, and coverage at Birmingham, Newcastle, and Glasgow. Drivers enjoy 24/7 access, contactless payments, and reliable top-ups during the October half-term travel. InstaVolt
- UK’s First Motorway Battery Storage: The M6 Welcome Break Corley Services site features 15 upgraded 160 kW ultra-rapid chargers powered by on-site battery storage, easing grid demand, supporting off-peak pricing, and marking the start of a 12-site nationwide rollout. InstaVolt
- Rightcharge Secures £1.6M Funding: The UK-based fleet platform raised £1.6M in seed funding to expand across Europe. Its software automates home-charging reimbursements, integrates public charge cards, and partners with Octopus Electroverse for seamless fleet payment management.
- Octopus Teams Up with Geely UK: Octopus Electric Vehicles will provide smart charging and access to the Electroverse app for Geely EX5 drivers. Priced from £31,990, the partnership gives UK drivers unified access to over 1 million charging points across Europe.
- Zaptec Highlights Depot Charging Grants: With the UK Depot Charging Scheme closing on 28 November, Zaptec encourages fleet operators to apply for grants covering up to 75% of EV charger costs, emphasizing the need for timely adoption.
- Hammersmith & Fulham £7.5M Expansion: The borough will install 240+ new chargers, including 16 rapid chargers, aiming to ensure universal access within 400 metres of residents.
- Go Zero & Rolec Hospitality Hubs: £100M financing supports EV charging in hotels and leisure sites, where only 6% currently offer charging, encouraging destination charging and longer stays.
- Ubitricity Lamppost Rollout: 2,000 lamppost chargers were installed across Tower Hamlets in under four months, expanding the local network by 2% and setting a speed record of 76 installations in a single day.
- Zest Retail EV Charging Expansion: 20 additional Central Co-op sites in the Midlands, Lancashire, and East Anglia will feature 30–120 kW chargers, enabling customers to charge while shopping.

- Milepost Raises SEK 600 Million to Expand EV Charging: Swedish EV-charging operator Milepost has secured SEK 600 million from Obligo Investment Management to accelerate its expansion across Sweden. The funding will support turnkey installations and strategic acquisitions, targeting apartment dwellers and city residents who lack convenient access to EV charging. Milepost’s mission is to make urban EV charging more accessible, helping cities adapt to growing electric mobility demand while strengthening the operator’s nationwide presence.
- Vattenfall & Volvo Cars Home Charging: Swedish EV buyers receive free home charging from February 2026, with bi-directional charging integration planned for models such as the EX90, demonstrating scalable smart energy solutions.
Central & Western Europe
France
- BEVs Outsell Petrol Cars: France recorded a 20.8% BEV market share in September 2025, supported by incentives, social leasing, and a nearly doubled DC charging infrastructure. Popular models like Renault 5, Dacia Spring, and Tesla Model Y drive mass adoption.

- Electra & CEV Handelsimmobilien: Electra will deploy 300 high-power charging parks at EDEKA stores by 2028, supporting private users, taxis, and fleets, aiming to reach 15,000 fast chargers by 2030.
- Transport Ministry Unveils EV Master Plan for 2030
Germany’s transport ministry has drafted a master plan to accelerate EV adoption by 2030. The strategy focuses on expanding fast-charging for trucks, funding charging infrastructure in apartment blocks, and introducing rules for bidirectional charging. Expected to be finalized in autumn 2025, the plan aims to make EV ownership more convenient and sustainable, supporting the country’s transition to zero-emission mobility while aligning with broader EU climate targets. - BVG Autonomous Shuttle Pilot: Berlin deploys five VW ID. - Electra 17 Hubs in Milan: By mid-2026, Electra will open 17 ultra-fast hubs with 108 renewable-powered chargers up to 400 kW, serving fleets, taxis, and private users.
- Ewiva Opens Large-Scale EV Truck Hub in Piacenza: Ewiva has inaugurated a major charging hub for electric trucks in Piacenza, Northern Italy. The facility features six high-power 400 kW chargers in a drive-through layout, with extra-large parking spaces tailored for heavy goods vehicles. Designed to fill a critical gap in Italy’s EV freight network, the hub supports decarbonization of commercial transport. It aligns with broader efforts to expand fast and ultra-fast charging options along key logistics corridors.
- ASTM and IONITY Launch Italy’s First EV-Only Motorway Hub: ASTM Group and IONITY have opened Italy’s first motorway charging station dedicated exclusively to electric vehicles at Brissogne Sud. The facility features seven chargers, including six ultra-fast 350 kW units, designed to accommodate growing demand for low-emission travel.
