This innovative service leverages our GATEWAY local controller, which is built into our new FLEXBOX. The FLEXBOX ensures seamless communication between your EV charging infrastructure and Distribution Network Operators (DNOs).
Here’s how it works:
Hardware Brain
The FLEXBOX, which includes, among other components, the GATEWAY local controller, is deployed at your charging site, providing a secure and reliable interface for DNOs to manage load limits. It supports multiple communication protocols, such as DNP3, IEC 61850, and Modbus, ensuring compatibility with various DNO setups.
Real-Time Load Management
During periods of high grid demand, DNOs can remotely adjust the power consumption of your EV chargers to prevent grid overloads. The GATEWAY receives commands from the DNO and dynamically reduces the power drawn from your chargers, ensuring continued operation without risking grid stability
Automatic Compliance
The Grid Control service automatically adapts to the specific requirements of each DNO, ensuring that your operations remain compliant with all regional grid regulations. This reduces the complexity of managing different technical standards across multiple sites.
