The Challenge

As ORLEN accelerated the rollout of its EV charging network as part of its broader e-mobility growth strategy, the company needed a faster and more standardised way to deploy charging infrastructure across different locations and markets.

Each site involved multiple stakeholders including installers, charge point operators, utilities, and local grid operators, often working with different technical requirements and approval processes. This created unnecessary complexity during deployment and commissioning.

In addition, maintaining stable communication between chargers, remote systems, and local infrastructure became increasingly important as the network expanded. ORLEN needed a solution that could simplify installation, reduce engineering effort, and create a repeatable setup that teams could deploy consistently across sites.

The challenge was clear: standardise EV charging deployments while keeping rollout speed, operational reliability, and scalability under control.

The Solution

To support the rollout of its EV charging network, ORLEN deployed the FLEXBOX, FLEXECHARGE’s plug-and-play infrastructure and connectivity hardware, across charging sites to simplify deployment and standardise site architecture.

The FLEXBOX enables ORLEN to streamline charging infrastructure rollouts while maintaining a scalable and repeatable deployment model by providing:

  • Plug-and-play commissioning, reducing deployment complexity and engineering effort
  • Centralised charger communication and remote connectivity

By simplifying infrastructure complexity into one standardised solution, the FLEXBOX allows ORLEN to deploy the same technical setup across sites while accelerating commissioning and reducing rollout complexity.

Next Steps

Following the rollout of the FLEXBOX across ORLEN charging sites, the company is positioned to replicate the same standardised deployment approach across additional locations and markets. With the FLEXBOX as a common technical foundation, future charging sites can be deployed faster, with reduced operational complexity and more predictable implementation processes.
